At age 45 I joined my kids' taekwondo class in order to lose weight and combat the encroachment of old age. I've been exercising on and off ever since. Here's my chance to thoroughly humiliate myself by actually recording my sorry attempts at physical fitness. And, yes, I actually do tae bo...in the winter...sometimes. Read on...
Remember: your body may fail you, but Jesus never will!
Definition of terms
Ecises-these are exercises "invented" by the author of the book "Pain Free" (Pete Egoscue). They are designed to realign the musculoskeletal framework of the body so that it functions more smoothly. (See July 8, 2009 post for pics.)
Airplanes-lay on stomach, hook toes under couch, raise torso off floor with arms stretched out to the sides.
Tae Bo-a form of exercise created by Billy Blanks which incorporates martial arts movements, boxing and other exercises and is choregraphed to music. (my definition)
I live in the northwoods of Minnesota on a small farm with my husband, Bob. Our seven kids ranging in age from 19-48 are strewn around the country and we're proud of all of them!
I love to read (especially English literature), write, draw and sing. I'm also learning to play the fiddle and tinwhistle and I'm going to college to become a nurse in my old age! My main goal in life is to become more like Jesus and make Him the center of my life. (I say goal because I haven't arrived yet!) My prayer is that my children will also live this out. Thanks for dropping by!
